This week in art, a weekly heads up on the Vancouver art scene.
UPDATED

The Petri's Dish Gallery's tagline is "small works by local artistis" and in this case they really aren't kidding! This friday they present a show of miniatures by Melanie Coles. From tiny collages to matchbox dioramas, these pieces are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand!

I don't know the work of Melanie Coles and I just got her URL, so I will definitely be checking this one out in person. The reception is this Friday from 7 PM - 11 PM at the Petri Dish Gallery, which is also a lovely little shop, so bring your wallet! Art is up until Valentine's day if you miss it this week. Details after the jump.
